2nd Dollar Scouts

The Scout Association offers everyday adventure and activity to almost 400,000 young people across the UK. The Movement is the largest co-educational youth organisation in the world, with over 28 million Members in 216 countries and territories.

In the UK Scouting is organised through The Scout Association and has a clear purpose:

To help young people achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities.

2nd Dollar Scouts is an active Scout, Cub and Beaver pack.

Scouts meet every Wednesday and Friday from 7pm – 9pm, Cubs meet every Monday and Thursday from 7:15pm - 8:45pm and Beavers every Monday and Thursday from 6pm — 7pm, all in school term times at the Scout Hall, Chapel Place, Dollar.

Beavers are aged 6 - 8 years old, Cubs are aged 8 – 10½ years old and Scouts from 10½ - 14. All three are for boys and girls.

Dollar Girl Guides
Girlguiding Scotland is Scotland's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women with 59,234 members which, as part of a worldwide Movement, enables girls and young women to fulfil their potential and to take an active and responsible role in society. Girlguiding is the leading charity for girls and young women in the Scotland and the UK. We build girls’ confidence and raise their aspirations. We give them the chance to discover their full potential and encourage them to be a powerful force for good. We give them a space to have fun.
In Dollar and Muckhart  we have a very active District with Rainbow (girls aged 5-7), Brownie (girls aged 7-10), Guide (girls aged 10-14) and Senior Section (young adults14-26).  We have units operating at each level in both Dollar and Muckhart. We also offer our Senior Section members the opportunity to train to become Young Leaders. We also offer Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme to our members and volunteer servive opportunities to young people at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.

Dollar Under Fives

We are a charitable group who offer play provision for all age ranges from babies through to the pre-nursery year. A variety of stimulating activities can be enjoyed in a welcoming, safe and caring environment. It is also a valuable opportunity for you and your children meet new friends.

Baby and toddler sessions are held on Wednesday mornings 9.30 – 11.30am (during Clackmannanshire term times) in the Burnside Hall.

Playgroup sessions run Monday to Friday 9.15 – 11.45 (term times) and are held in the Civic Centre. These sessions cater for children from 2 years 9 months to nursery year and offers a wide variety of learning experiences.  We follow the Curriculum for Excellence and sessions are led by experienced and enthusiastic early years workers.
